Lansford man faces charges after incident

Justin Hill, 20, of 366 W. Bertsch St., Lansford, faces charges from an incident which took place at 12:25 p.m. Oct. 10 at that address. A charges of possession of drug paraphernalia was filed of Officer Jason Helmer. According to an affidavit of probable cause, here's what happened:

Helmer was dispatched to 366 W. Bertsch on a report of a protection-from-abuse violation. upon arrival, he spoke with the complainant, Mary Robin Hill, who said her son, Justin Hill, had come to the home and violated his PFA order by gaining entry. She said he had left and was believed to be at 363 W. Patterson.Helmer went to that address and spoke with Hill, who admitted being at his mother's house. He was arrested and found to have three syringes and three small paper packets containing a white, powdery residue. The items were found in his right outer front shorts pocket.Hill admitted to having a heroin problem, but told police he had not worn the shorts for awhile and was unaware the items were in his pocket.
