The Palmerton Area High School and Junior High will be presenting the annual Holiday Concert Thursday, Dec. 8, at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium at 3525 Fireline Road, Palmerton.

Instrumental and vocal groups from both schools will be performing, along with soloists and a combined grand finale.The program will include a great variety of selections, including seasonal songs, holiday favorites, and nonholiday pieces.Among the tunes the Junior High Chorus will perform are "Still a Bach Christmas," "Welcome Winter Winds," and "Hanukkah Hanukkah."The High School singers will perform, among others, "Silent Night," "Bring a Torch, Jeanette, Isabelle," and "Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!"Instrumental students from the junior high will play "O Little Town of Bethlehem" and "In the Bleak Midwinter," and the High School Concert Band's portion of the program will include "Korean Folk Rhapsody," "I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas," and "The Christmas Song."At the conclusion of the concert, all four groups will join with the audience in a fun and upbeat Holiday Sing-Along.Admission to the concert is free, and refreshments will be served in the lobby after the concert.
