An over night fire has destroyed a Carbon County home in Bear Creek Lakes, Penn Forest Township. The fire was first reported at 1:26 a.m. at 69 Hawthorne Drive. When firefighters from numerous Carbon County companies arrived on scene the wood frame dwelling was fully involved in flames. The site is only a short distance from the Penn Forest Fire Company No. 1. Due to the remote location of the site water had to be tanked into the scene.
