Marian High School Language Honor Societies hold induction
The French and Spanish Honor Societies of Marian High School recently inducted 17 students at a special Mass celebrated in the school gymnasium.
Taking part in the ceremony were the officers of the French Honor Society: Katie Ferrello President; Jessica McKinley, Vice-President; Tyler Zawatski, Secretary. The officers of the Spanish Honor Society are: Devin Parambo, President; Daniel Lisella, Vice-President; Joseph Kloap, Secretary; Jennifer Linkchorst, Treasurer. Sara Pisak, Treasurer for the French Honor Society was unable to attend.The new members received membership certificates from Sister Bernard Agnes, Principal, who praised the students for their achievements.Father Kenneth Medve, Director of Spiritual Activities and Father Michael Beers were co-celebrants of the Mass. Parts of the Mass were read in French, Spanish as well as English.After the ceremony, a continental breakfast reception was enjoyed by the members, their parents and guests in the cafeteria.The new members of the French Honor Society are: Sophomores - Jeanne Cannon, Stephen Valente and Junior, Maria ObertoInducted into the Spanish Honor Society were: Sophomores: Emmarose Boyle, Emily Burger, Emily Comensky, Anthony Damiano, Ginger Howe, Kaysi McLaughlin, Miranda Milillo, Timothy Miller, Briana O'Donnell, Anthony Pilla, Shannon Skotek, Kimberly Wilson, Sara Wisniewski and Senior, Katherine Dodson.The moderators of the societies are: Maureen Heffelfinger - French Honor Society and Deborah Coles - Spanish Honor Society.
