The next meeting of the Nesquehoning Conservation Club will be Wednesday, Feb. 3 at 6:30 p.m. at Maple Shade Meadows. Dues for 2010 are now being accepted. Don't forget to bring the Save-a-Tapes to the meeting. Plans for the upcoming Spring Fishing Derby will be discussed. The officers and trustees that were voted in for the next two year term were Don McGorry, president; Greg Pecha, vice president; Sam Kitchko, secretary; Mark Nalesnik, Dave Hawk and Bob Dunstan, trustees. Missing trustees are Geno Jacobs and R. Mickey Angst. Some of the future plans are Spring Fishing Derby, willow tree planting along Nesquehoning Creek and a joint venture with Mauch Chunk Rod and Gun for a mentored youth pheasant hunt in the fall.
