Tamaqua snow removal continues

The Borough of Tamaqua will continue snow removal operations this week. Work will begin at 12:01 a.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings. All vehicles must be removed from the posted streets at least one hour prior to the start of operations.

Streets scheduled to be cleaned on Wednesday include: north side of Broad, railroad tracks east to former Maff Motors; Gay, Lafayette to end; Greenwood, Mountain Avenue to end. A second crew will begin operations at 12:01 p.m. on Wednesday. Streets slated for snow removal then include: Clay, Pitt to Washington; Willing. Greenwood to Clarke.For Thursday, beginning at 12:01 a.m., the following streets will be cleaned: Pine, Mauch Chunk north to SR309 bridge; Lafayette, Washington to Catawissa. After noon operations will include: Arlington, Greenwood to end.Friday's schedule will include: post midnight - Lehigh, Cottage Avenue to Elm; West Elm, Lehigh to Catawissa; Lombard, West Elm to Boyle Avenue; and Nescopec, Franklin to Yetten Circle. After noon, the following streets will be cleaned: Hazle, Greenwood to Elizabeth; and Orwigsburg, Cherry to Coal.Snow removal will then continue as needed. The schedule is subject to change.Any vehicles not removed from the posted streets will be ticketed and towed at the owner's expense.
