October 24, 1969 Jim Barron scores two touchdowns and also throws for a score to lead Tamaqua to a 28-8 victory over Shenandoah Valley. Barron, who finishes with 11 carries for 115 yards, breaks loose for a 76-yard tally and returns a punt 40 yards to paydirt. He also tosses a 42-yard TD pass to Charlie Ike. The winners, coached by Walt Ligenza, also receive a touchdown run from Larry Lishman, who had 66 yard rushing in the contest. Also excelling on the ground is Jeff Truskey, who ends with 73 yards.
