Video games, system are stolen

Two persons were arrested by state police at the Fogelsville barracks for entering a home in Lower Macungie Township, stealing a video system and video games, and then exchanging them for cash.

The incident was reported at 5 p.m. Dec. 23 by Yvonne C. DeJesus, 36, of Princeton Road in the township.Police said a 17-year-old male and Elhadji Sylia, 19, of Macungie, were arrested after the incident.Police said Sylia drove the juvenile to the residence where the latter entered it through an unlocked side door and stole the system and games valued at $474, after which time they traveled to the Game Stop and exchanged the items for the cash.The juvenile is charged with burglary, criminal trespass, theft and receiving stolen property. He was plaaced in juvenile detention and is awaiting a hearing.Sylia is charged with conspiracy to commit burglary, criminal trespass and theft, as well as receiving stolen property. A warrant has been obtained for his arrest, police said.
