A Coaldale woman was cited by Rush Township police following a vehicle stop on SR309 on Nov. 9.

Diane M. Robert, 40, was driving erratically on Claremont Avenue at 2:40 p.m. when she was stopped. Officers noted she was visibly intoxicated and transported her to St. Luke's Miners Memorial Hospital, Coaldale, for blood tests. The results indicated a blood-alcohol content of .125 percent, well over the .08 percent limit.

Robert was cited for driving under the influence (DUII) of alcohol, driving with a suspended license, and endangering the welfare of a child.

A Mahanoy City man unexpectedly found himself in the Schuylkill County Prison following a vehicle stop in Rush Township on Nov. 25.

Officers made the stop at 2:50 a.m. on Mahanoy Avenue (SR54). A routine records check showed that a passenger in the car, Ryan L. Seigel, 26, was wanted on a bench warrant issued in Dauphin County.

Seigel was taken to the county prison in Pottsville to await a transfer to Dauphin County.

Lansford police nabbed two wanted subjects as a result of a traffic stop on Nov.16 at 10:10 p.m. on W. Bertsch Street. The driver, Beth Schmoyer, 27, of 601 E. Abbott St., Lansford, was stopped for driving under suspension, DUI-related. A records check on the passengers revealed that Scott White, 31, of 601 E. Abbott St., Lansford, was wanted out of the Lehigh County Probation Office and Jacob Maute, 30, of 325 Main St., Royersford, was wanted out of Chester County for burglary and other related charges.

Coaldale police have charged a Lehighton man with possession of a small amount of marijuana for personal use, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The charges were lodged against Timothy H. O'Brien, 23, of 250 Laurel Drive, in connection with an incident that happened between 3:30-4 p.m. Oct. 19, according to an affidavit of probable cause filed by Officer Scott D. Cramer.

Dallas Tyler Myers, 18, of Saylorsburg, is facing driving under the influence (DUI) charges as a result of a traffic stop made by state police at Lehighton.

He was stopped at 2:56 a.m. Nov. 24 at the intersection of Weir Lake and Kunkletown roads in Ross Township, Monroe County, after which time police said they learned he was driving while under the influence.

Charges of driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol are pending against Lisa Depriest, 47, of Palmerton, after state police at Lehighton stopped her at 3 a.m. Nov. 25 on Apple Street in Bowmanstown.

Police said they observed the woman driving in an erratic manner, after which time she was taken into custody for displaying signs of impairment and failing field sobriety tests.

She was transported to the Palmerton Hospital where she submitted to a blood test, the results of which are pending.

State police at the Lehighton barracks arrested a Palmerton man for driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol after a traffic stop on Nov. 24 at 11 p.m.

Police said Vincent Balent, 39, was driving a Dodge Shadow in an erratic manner on Fireline Road, near Gun Club Road, in Towamensing Township.

Upon making the stop, police learned he was under the influence of alcohol.

A Pottsville woman faces possible driving under the influence (DUI) charges following a traffic stop in Rush Township on Monday, Nov. 26.

Officers stopped a vehicle being operated by Valerie Underkoffler, 46, at 1:17 a.m. as she was traveling on Claremont Avenue (SR309). She was transported to the Schuylkill Medical Center-S. Jackson St., Pottsville, for blood tests.

DUI charges are pending the results of the blood work, but Underkoffler will be cited for driving with a suspended license-DUI related, as well as for several traffic violations.

Paul Myers, 22, of Lehighton, has been arrested by state police at the Lehighton barracks for driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol.

Police said they stopped him for traffic violations at 2:10 a.m. Nov. 22 at Third and Bridge streets in Lehighton, after which time police observed signs of intoxication.

Myers was transported to Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital, Lehighton, for a blood test.

Jerome M. Yanchick Jr., 27, of Kunkletown, was arrested by state police at Lehighton for driving under the influence (DUI) of drugs on Nov. 23 at 12:15 a.m.

Police said he was stopped for a vehicle code violation along Burger Hollow Road in Polk Township, Monroe County, after which time police said the stop yielded he was under the influence.
