Muhlenberg College, Allentown has named Erin R. Litsch to the Dean's List for the fall 2009 semester.

Erin is majoring in English and was chosen for the highly selective position of writing assistant. She will be employed by the campus's Writing Center to tutor all students with their writing assignments starting fall 2010.

She is a graduate of Marian Catholic High School and the daughter of George and Diane Litsch of Tamaqua.

Veglia

Brian M. Veglia of Tamaqua graduated from East Stroudsburg University on Dec. 19. He earned an Integrated Elementary/Special Education B.S. degree. He is also licensed as a Radiological Technologist having worked for over 20 years in the medical field. Currently he is pursuing a degree in Business Administration at Lehigh Carbon Community College. His future plans include earning a Master's degree in Informational Technology.

Custard

Staff Sgt. Janice Nicole Custard has successfully been named to the Dean's list at the University of Maryland, University College. She is majoring in Social Science and will graduate in December 2009. She is presently employed at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland with Security Forces. She resides in Walforf, MD.

Sarah Nonnemacher of Jim Thorpe attained the dean's list at Penn State Hazleton Campus, where she is in her junior year. She maintained a GPA of 3.9 for this semester. She is majoring in letters, arts, sciences. She is a 2007 graduate of Jim Thorpe High School. She will graduate from Penn State in 2011. She is the daughter of Rebecca Nonnemacher and Michael Nonnemacher, both of Jim Thorpe.

Petro

Angela Petro, daughter of John and Ann Marie Petro of Tamaqua, has been named to the Dean's List for the Fall quarter at Drexel University, Philadelphia. A 2005 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School, she earned a 4.0 grade point average, majoring in Political Science with a minor in History. She is a member of the Pennoni Honors College, Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority, Order of Greek Honor Society, Kappa Theta Epsilon Co-Op Honors Society and the Drexel College Republicans.

Casey B. Lilly, Kunkletown, graduated cum laude from Kutztown University on Dec. 19 with a bachelor of science degree in elementary teaching, with a major in psychology. She is a 2005 graduate of Palmerton Area High School.

Casey is the daughter of Brian "Snap" Lilly of Kunkletown, and the granddaughter of Don and Millie Lilly of Bowmanstown.

She has a brother, Cody, who will graduate from Kutztown University in May 2010.

Three sons of Joe and Jackie DeAngelo of Coaldale all attained the dean's list.

Anthony was named to the dean's list for the fall semester at Penn State University, University Park. He is a senior majoring in Supply Chain Management and is a 2006 graduate of Marian Catholic High School.

John was named to the dean's list for the fall semester at Muhlenberg College, Allentown. He is a junior majoring in accounting and is a 2007 graduate of Marian Catholic High School.

Recipient of medical student scholarship

Ravi Ambani, Slatington, is the recipient of the LeCoMASE Medical Student Scholarship offered through The Foundation of the Pennsylvania Medical Society. Ambani, a second-year medical student at Drexel University College of Medicine, will receive $2,500 toward his tuition. He is the son of Dr. Narendra and Dina Ambani.
