The engagement of Donald Hauck Jr. of Tamaqua and Jamie Greenawalt of Allentown has been announced by the couple and their families.

The bride-to-be has an associate specialized degree in accounting and is employed as a bookkeeper for the Private Industry Council of Lehigh Valley Inc. in Easton.

The prospective bridegroom is working toward his electrician's license and is employed in the maintenance department at Lutheran Manor Apartments of the Lehigh Valley in Bethlehem.

The couple is planning a wedding for the summer of 2017.

Mr. and Mrs. Travis Halabura

Jessica Bensinger, daughter of David and Margaret Bensinger of Tamaqua, and Travis Halabura, son of David and the late Suzette Halabura, also of Orwigsburg, were united in marriage on Aug. 16, 2014, at Bensinger Farms in Tamaqua.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose Jennifer Bensinger as her maid of honor.

Bridesmaids included Heather Patrick and Stephanie Bastian. Harleigh Patrick was the flower girl.

The bridegroom chose Kyle Halabura as his best man.

Groomsmen included Matt Halabura and Justin Halabura.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Cliff and Shelly Taylor of New Ringgold.

She earned a bachelor of arts from Allegheny Wesleyan College.

She is currently employed at Sight and Sound Theater.

The prospective bridegroom is the son of David and Diane Mahin of Miltonvale, Kansas.

He is employed at Benfer Farm.

The couple is planning a wedding for May 23 of this year.

Lisa Armano, daughter of John and Lorraine Armano of North Andover, Massachusetts, and Paul L. Lupcho of Northampton, son of Paul and Malinda Lupcho of Palmerton, were united in marriage on Oct. 18, 2014, at St. Michael Parish in North Andover.

The Rev. Kevin Deeley officiated the double-ring ceremony.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose Kristin Tedesco of Lawrenceville, New Jersey, to be her maid of honor.

Bridesmaids included Carrie Leary of North Andover, and Jennifer Fernandez of Pottstown.

She is a 2004 graduate of Marian Catholic School. She earned a bachelor's degree in rehabilitative services at East Stroudsburg University in 2008. In 2012 she earned her master's degree in psychology from University of Phoenix. In 2013 she graduated from Florida Institute of Technology with her ABA graduate degree.

Donald Bloom

Donald Bloom of Lehighton is celebrating his 85th birthday. He was born Feb. 16, 1930. He is the son of the late George and Mabel Bloom.

He is married to Perma Evert Bloom. They will celebrate their 65th anniversary this year. He has two daughters: Cindy Tobias of Jim Thorpe and Sandra Koch of Palmerton

He has six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Donald celebrated his special day with his family.

She is a 2007 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School and a 2011 graduate of Penn State University. She currently attends the Joseph F. McCloskey School of Nursing at Schuylkill Health.

The prospective bridegroom is the son of Robert and Suzanne Reed of Tamaqua.
