Adam LaRose celebrated his 100th birthday on March 11.

Adam LaRose turned 100 years old this month and has something in common with today's youngsters. The former Lehighton man has his own Wii video game system, which he received at the age of 98.

He likes to play Tiger Woods PGA Tour on the Wii with his friends at Calvary Fellowship Homes Retirement Community in Lancaster. Sometimes he has a good game, but would prefer to play regular golf.

In addition to golf, LaRose enjoys Wii bowling, baseball and strength-fitness games. He also likes to read historical fiction.

Aaron Keller and Andrea Neff

Andrea Neff of Kresgeville and Aaron Keller, also Kresgeville, have announced their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Randy and Deb Neff of Danielsville. She is a 1996 graduate of Northampton High school. She is currently employed by St. Luke's Physician Group.

The prospective bridegroom is the son of Allen Keller Jr. of Gilbert and Bonnie Keller of Trachsville. He is a 1994 graduate of Pleasant Valley High School. He is currently employed by Muschlitz Excavating.

A wedding is scheduled for May 7 of this year.

MaryAnn Storm-Dait and Hubert "Bob" Alward

The engagement of MaryAnn Storm-Dait, Lehighton, to Hubert "Bob" Alward, also of Lehighton, has been announced by her mother, Mary S. Storm, Lehighton, and her sons, Joseph and Matthew Dait.

The bride-to-be is also the daughter of the late Lester G. Storm. She is a 1981 graduate of Lehighton Area High School and the Williamsport Hospital School of Nursing. She earned an associate degree in business management from L.C.C.C.

She is currently employed by Northampton County at Gracedale Nursing Home.

A son, Steele Michael Zalik, was born at 5:06 p.m. on Feb. 7, 2011, in St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill, to Kristin and Timothy Zalik of Palmerton.

He weighed 6 pounds, 11 ounces, and measured 20 inches long.

Maternal grandparents are Michael and Susan Zavagansky of Lansford. Paternal grandparents are Brian and Michaele Kulick of Nesquehoning.

Maternal great-grandparents are Michael and Dorothy Zavagansky of Lansford.

Paternal great-grandmother is Evelyn Malaska of Nesquehoning.

A daughter, Ava Camille Serfass, was born at 4:22 p.m. on Jan. 23, 2011 at St. Luke's in Allentown, to Tammy and Danny Serfass Jr. of Lehighton.

She weighed 6 pounds, 14 ounces and measured 19.5 inches long.

The new baby has four older siblings: Brianna, 17; Owen, 5; Olivia, 3; and Sophia, 1.

Maternal grandparents are Pete and Martha Balogach, Lehighton. Paternal grandparents are Danny and Tessy Serfass, Palmerton.

Maternal great-grandmother is Gloria Balogach, Lehighton.

Wendy Marek and Scott Murphy were united in marriage on Oct. 9, 2010 at St. John's Orthodox Church in Nesquehoning.

The Rev. Robert Teklinski officiated the double ring ceremony.

Given in marriage by her parents, Michael and Christine Marek of Nesquehoning, the bride chose her cousin, Natalie Angst of Drums, to serve as matron of honor.

Bridesmaids included Kristin Untisz, Fairborn, Ohio; Melissa Sweigart, Mifflinburg, Pa.; and Johanna Murphy, Annandale, Va., sister-in-law of the bridegroom.
