Penn's Peak

Country singer Josh Turner is making a return appearance to Penn's Peak on Sept. 26.

You might remember the 60s hits "Times of the Season," "She's Not There," and "Tell Her No."

They were hits by the British band, The Zombies.

The Zombies, featuring Colin Blunstone and Rod Argent, will be making an appearance at Penn's Peak tomorrow night at 8 p.m. Tickets are $27.

"Last year," says Blunstone, "we played in the UK, US, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Holland, Japan and the Philippines. It was incredible."

Satisfaction, a Rolling Stones tribute band, will be performing Friday night at Penn's Peak in Jim Thorpe.

The event begins at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20.

Satisfaction is the international touring tribute show dedicated to the "World's Greatest Rock & Roll Band."

The show has been in production and touring since 2001 with over 1600 performance dates to its credit. It is the only full time touring show of it's kind in the world.

Two concerts are scheduled this weekend at Penn's Peak in Jim Thorpe.

Tonight, Jefferson Starship will be on stage at 8 p.m.

The band is a spinoff from Jefferson Airplane.

Tickets are $27.

On Saturday night, pop idol Bobby Vinton makes a return appearance at the local venue.

Bobby Vinton, a Canonsburg, Pa. native, is not only a popular and extremely talented singer, but also a theatre owner, movie star, multi-instrumentalist and the host of a highly rated network variety show.

Think summer at Penn's Peak tonight

Changes In Latitudes, the country's premier tribute show to the Mayor of Margaritaville, Jimmy Buffett, will be performing at Penn's Peak in Jim Thorpe tonight. The event begins at 8 o'clock and tickets are $20. This nationally acclaimed band travels the country with beach balls and leis flying, dancing conga lines, and "Trop Rock" fun for all. You can expect to hear such classics as "Margaritaville," "Come Monday," "It's Five O'Clocl Somewhere," "Cheeseburger In Paradise," "Volcano," and, of course, "Changes In Latitudes, Changes In Attitudes."

Bruce in the U.S.A., a Bruce Springsteen tribute, will be featured at Penn's Peak in Jim Thorpe at 8 p.m. Saturday.

It's a great weekend for pop music at Penn's Peak in Jim Thorpe.

Tonight, the band Jessie's Girl will be on stage at 9 p.m., with its "Back to the 80's" show. Opening will be Hugo, who play's Journey's Steve Perry in the tribute band Voyager.

Then tomorrow night, making a return to the area's largest entertainment venue is "Bruce in the U.S.A.," which is a Bruce Springsteen tribute.

Jessie's Girl will be performing tunes - and skits - from the 80s on Friday at 8 p.m. at Penn's Peak in Jim Thorpe.

Tomorrow night, Bret Michaels, Tiffany, Debbie Gibson, Rick Springfield, and M. C. Hammer all will be at Penn's Peak in Jim Thorpe.

Well, not really.

But it will seem that way.

On the vast, open stage of the venue will be "Jessie's Girl," a band which plays 80s music and has costumes like many of the bands they represent. It will be like being in the audience of the aforementioned performers.

This is the first appearance by Jessie's Girl, which consists of four former members of the group Rubix Kube.

Three more concerts have been announced for Penn's Peak in Jim Thorpe.

The Skid Row "United World Rebellion Tour" will arrive on Friday, May 31, at 8 p.m.

With Skid Row will be Saliva and L.A. Guns.

Tickets, priced at $24 in advance and $28 the day of the show, go on sale today.

The other two concerts, of which tickets go on sale Saturday, Feb. 23, are:

Ÿ Rockapella on Friday, June 7. Tickets are $25 and $20.

Ÿ Gordon Lightfoot, "50 Years on the Carefree Highway Tour," on Saturday, Oct. 26. Tickets are $37 and $42.

Penn's Peak will be presenting The Pink Floyd Experience at 8 p.m. this evening.

Tickets are $30 and $35.

Pink Floyd has set high standards for other bands to live up to, especially tribute bands. Most musicians would not even attempt it that is until the band The Pink Floyd Experience happened along.

Annerin Productions scoured the globe for the talent they needed to succeed in the endeavor and they have found it in the six musicians that comprise The Pink Floyd Experience (PFX).

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday for two concerts coming this spring to Penn's Peak.

Making his debut is Carl Palmer with his ELP Legacy, 2013 Twist of the Wrist World Tour. This event is scheduled for May 3.

Get the Led Out, a Led Zepellin tribute band which always packs Penn's Peak, has announced a return on April 27.
