HERSHEY, Pa. (AP) - Nothing quite like a perfect ending to a perfect season.

Popping three players into double figures, Minersville capped its undefeated run to the PIAA's Class 2A girls' basketball championship with a 63-49 victory over Bishop McCort Thursday afternoon at Hershey's Giant Center.Maggie Wigoda scored 22 points, Emily Mealey hammered out a powerful double-double (17 points/17 rebounds) and Adrienne Kroznuskie numbered 11 points for the undefeated Battlin' Miners (31-0).Abby Schoffstall also had a terrific game for Minersville - the Miners captured Schuylkill League and District 11 titles before collaring their first state championship - dishing out 14 assists and grabbing five rebounds despite netting only four points.Haley Thomas and Aunna Yingling each netted 13 points for Bishop McCort (25-5), the District 6 champions.GIRLS CLASS 4AHERSHEY, Pa. (AP) - While it took Bethlehem Catholic that third time to get things right, the Golden Hawks moved into some heady company Thursday night in Hershey.Yep, you can call Jose Medina's club state champions.Picking up 13 points from slick freshman Taliyah Medina and 11 more from Hope Brown, Bethlehem Catholic overwhelmed Erie's Villa Maria 46-27 in the championship game of the PIAA's Class 4A girls basketball tournament Thursday night at Giant Center.Quintessa Zamolyi added nine points and eight rebounds for the Golden Hawks (30-2), while Neila Luma chipped in with eight points and nine boards.Madison Demski netted 11 points for Doug Chuzie's Victors (22-6).BOYS CLASS 1AHERSHEY, Pa. (AP) - While the PIAA may have adjusted a few things and added several classifications to its basketball championships, that didn't stop an experienced Kennedy Catholic squad from authoring a repeat.Flashing all sorts of balance and popping four players into double figures, Kennedy Catholic defeated Girard College of Philadelphia 73-56 in the PIAA Class 1A boys' championship Thursday at Giant Center.The state championship was the second in a row for Rick Mancino's Golden Eagles (26-2) - Kennedy claimed the Class A title in 2016 - and the eighth overall for the school that sits near the Pennsylvania-Ohio boundary.BOYS CLASS 3AHERSHEY, Pa. (AP) - Another season.Another state championship.Neumann-Goretti won its fourth straight state championship and its seventh state title in eight seasons.Popping four players into double figures, Arrigale's powerfully balanced Saints turned a separation-creating outburst early in the second quarter into a convincing 89-58 victory over Lincoln Park Charter in the PIAA's Class 3A championship.Kentucky recruit Quade Green topped the Saints (24-7) with 22 points, while Villanova-bound Dhamir Cosby-Roundtree finished with 15 points and 13 boards for a Neumann-Goretti side that bolted to a 42-19 lead at halftime.Nelly Cummings poured in 37 points for Lincoln Park (25-6). Bound for the NCAA Division I level, Cummings finished his career with 2,411 points.
