Man faces DUI after vehicle strikes inn

A 50-year-old Stroudsburg man is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol after a vehicle he was driving crashed into the Saylorsburg Inn at 9:13 p.m. Feb. 9.

State police at Lehighton said he was traveling south on Old Route 115, near Kunkletown Road, Ross Township, when he lost control of the vehicle. It traveled off the northbound side of the roadway and crashed into the inn.Police said occupants of the vehicle were transported to the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Pocono, East Stroudsburg, for further evaluation.The driver was found to be driving while under the influence of alcohol and will be charge accordingly, police said.
