The Jim Thorpe softball team earned a victory over Panther Valley on Friday. The Jim Thorpe tennis team also swept a doubleheader against Lehighton.

SOFTBALLJim Thorpe-Panther ValleyJim Thorpe used two big innings to post a 7-2 non-league win over Panther Valley.The Olympians broke it open in the fourth when Joclyn Day doubled and scored on a single by Jillian Kamieniecki. She scored on a single by Alyssa Stamets, who later scored on a single by Caitlin Holt. Maggie Holloway added the fourth run with an RBI single. Five singles in the top of the seventh plated three more Jim Thorpe runs.Caitlin Holt was 3-for-3, while Kamieniecki and Stamets each had two hits.
