Troopers report crashes

State police at Fern Ridge reported investigating the following crashes in recent days.

A two-vehicle crash was reported about 4:05 p.m. on Aug. 22 along Route 115 in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County.Troopers said Adelaido Rosado-Rivera, 39, of Brodheadsville, driving a 2004 Nissan Sentra, failed to yield to oncoming traffic and struck a 2011 Volkswagen Golf driven by Laurel H. Pritchard, 57, of Effort.Troopers said West End ambulance volunteers and fire company members assisted at the scene.Both drivers were treated at the scene. Rosado-Rivera was cited for duties at stop signs.A crash was reported at 5:14 p.m. along Route 715 in Chestnuthill Township. Troopers said Gavin A. McCabe, 16, of Saylorsburg, was driving a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee northbound and attempted to make a left turn onto White Church Road and in doing so caused his vehicle to overturn one time, coming to rest on its wheels.Troopers said a witness said McCabe was traveling at a high rate of speed. He was cited for driving a vehicle at a unsafe speed.A one-vehicle crash occurred at 6:48 p.m. on Aug. 19 along Interstate 80 in Kidder Township, Carbon County. Troopers said Melody G. Pehote, 50, of Warren, Michigan, was driving a 2011 Mercedes-Benz westbound when a deer entered the road in front of her.She was unable to stop and struck the deer causing disabling damages to the vehicle.She was not injured.
