State police at Frackville reported the following:

Maria Monroe, 60, of Shenandoah, escaped injury after a vehicle she was driving struck a deer on Route 924 in East Union Township at 7:55 a.m. Friday.Police said she was driving a 1979 Mercury Zephyr northbound between Brandonville and Sheppton and was negotiating a left curve in the road when the deer leaped onto the roadway causing the collision.The vehicle was towed from the scene.Police said Monroe was cited for driving without a license.• State police said a Ringtown woman escaped injury when a tire came off her car while she was driving on Route 61 in New Castle Township at 5:14 p.m. Monday.Police said Asia Brown-Rawls, 20, was northbound when the right tire of her 2000 Mercury Cougar came off, causing her to lose control of the vehicle while she steered it onto the right shoulder. Police said the vehicle struck the guide rail with its right front fender, causing minor damages.She was cited for an equipment violation of her vehicle.• Jodi A. Drauschak, 51, of Freeland, suffered minor injuries in a one-vehicle crash at 6:15 p.m. Sunday on Route 924 in East Union Township, according to police. Police said she was driving a 2012 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport northbound when a deer entered the roadway. Police said she avoided striking the deer but lost control of the vehicle, which struck a tree and rolled onto the driver's side.Drauschak refused treatment at the scene. Her 3-year-old granddaughter who was secured in a child safety seat was not injured, police said.
