Woman faces charges after traffic stop

A Freeland woman is in trouble after she gave police her sister's information.

According to Summit Hill police, at 9:50 p.m. on Feb. 28, officers conducted a traffic stop following a driving violation along Route 902 in the borough.The driver provided information on her identity, but it was later learned when the woman's sister called police that the woman had given the police her sister's information.The sister told police that the woman involved in the traffic stop was Ashlyn McCartney, 22, of 209 Washington St.McCartney was charged with providing false identification to law enforcement, driving while her license is suspended and general lighting requirements.
