The deadline is nearing for vendors at this year's Carbon County Fair. Bob Silliman, president of the Carbon County Fair said there are a few spaces for display vendors remaining at this year's fair.Interested vendors should contact Bob at 570-657-7129 after 3 p.m. on weekdays. Nonprofit organizations and commercial vendors are encouraged to participate.

Volunteers are also needed for the fair. Liz McElwee, co-volunteer coordinator said there are many opportunities, including preparing and cleaning up fairgrounds, office assisting, selling tickets, taking tickets, stamping hands, sharing information with attendees, providing security, parking cars and assisting in the agriculture area.For more information, contact Mary Schoenberger at 610-377-0755 or email the fair at
