A Tobyhanna man faces DUI charges for an incident in Summit Hill last August.

According to Summit Hill police, the incident happened just after 2:30 a.m. Aug. 30 in the area of White Street and Route 902. Police were on patrol when they observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation.A traffic stop was conducted, and while speaking to the driver, identified as Peter Franck, 31, of 659 Main St., the officer smelled alcohol on Franck's breath and observed him showing signs of intoxication.He was given and failed field sobriety tests. He was then taken to the hospital to have a blood sample drawn.Franck was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and one count careless driving.
