A credit card skimming incident at a Schuylkill County service station is being investigated by state police at Schuylkill Haven.

Troopers said an internal skimming device capable of copying credit card information was installed in pump 8 of Moyer's Car Care Center Inc., located at 102 Route 183, in Schuylkill Haven, and then later removed.The result had a third party stealing card information and loading that information onto another card for the purpose of conducting fraudulent transactions.Troopers urge anyone who purchased fuel using a credit card at Moyer's between Aug. 1 and 19 to check their credit card statements for fraudulent purchases and to contact trooper Mark Knock at 570-739-1330.
