A surprise party was held on July 30 for Leo. L. Pudvah in honor of his 80th birthday.

The party was hosted by his four daughters and grandchildren.Pudvah is formerly from Barton, Vermont and has lived in Lehighton for almost 59 years.He retired from the P.B & N.E. Railroad in 1995 after 29½ years.He and his wife, the former Marian Fritzinger, will celebrate their 59th wedding anniversary in December. Together they had four daughters, Dianne, Sharee, Donna and Renee; five granddaughters: Nicole, Teresa, Britney, Amber and Erica; three grandsons: Jared, Anthony and Matthew; one great-grandson Caleb.
