Lehighton woman uninjured after vehicle flips

A Lehighton woman was uninjured Friday after the vehicle she was driving struck an ice bank and flipped over, according to Nesquehoning Police Chief Sean Smith.

Kiana Marie Begel, 20, was the only person in the vehicle, when the 2000 Jeep Cherokee crashed around 4:30 p.m. at Angelini and Mussmano avenues in the borough.Begel told police she lost control on an ice patch around a sharp turn, while going about 20 mph.Marouchocs Auto was called to flip the vehicle back on its wheels.The vehicle was drivable.Borough crews were called to salt or cinder the hill.
