Tamaqua Blue 12 and Jim Thorpe Blue 12 picked up Panther Valley Little League Tournament wins recently.

In the 9-10 tourney, Anthracite Grey was victorious.PANTHER VALLEY 11-12 TOURNAMENTTamaqua Blue 12-Towamensing/WeatherlyTamaqua pounded out 17 hits to gain a 15-5 victory over Towamensing/Weatherly.Joel Schellhammer had four hits for the winners, while Brian Milot, Aaron Coccio, Nate Wickersham and Michael Shanta each finished with a pair of hits.Ian Davis contributed a three-run homer. Winning pitcher Dante Agosti struck out six batters and allowed just two hits in his four innings of work. Caleb Monk gave up just one hit over the final two frames.For Towamensing/Weatherly, Jonathan Eckart hit a three-run home run.Jim Thorpe Blue 12-Tamaqua Blue 11Tyler Hartman and Jared Joyce combined to pitch a two-hit shutout as Jim Thorpe Blue blanked Tamaqua Blueby a 12-0 score.Davier Calcano went four-for-four, Jaren Marykwas and A.J. Bailor added home runs and John Malarkey was two-for-two for Jim Thorpe.Lucas Shickram and Miller had the two Tamaqua hits.PANTHER VALLEY9-10 TOURNAMENTLansford-Anthracite GreyAnthracite Grey handed Lansford a 13-3 setback.Anthracite Grey's Nick Surotchak had four RBI's with a triple and single. Brandon Nunemacher scored three times while hitting a single and double. MiKayla Yuricheck had two doubles, a single and scored three times. AJ Jewells pitched all four innings, giving up four hits, three runs while only walking two and striking out nine. Lansford's Connor Penberth singled and scored, Robert Wieand singled and had two RBI's and also scored a run. Thomas Kokinda had two singles for Lansford as well.
