Two vehicles collided, shutting down both lanes of Route 209 between Lansford and Nesquehoning early this morning.

The crash between a dump truck and a Ford car happened just before 7 a.m. in the area of Knepper's Trailer Court.Initial scanner reports stated that there were injuries, but attempts to reach police were unsuccessful as of press time.Lansford and Summit Hill police and fire crews, as well as Lehighton Ambulance responded to the calls. The area where the crash happened straddles Summit Hill and Lansford borough lines.Fire police were on scene directing traffic.Krajcirik's Towing of Lansford towed the car from the scene.There was no report on how the dump truck was removed.
