Three teams capture titles

The Jim Thorpe boys and both Marian teams captured Schuylkill League division titles Wednesday.

The Olympians won the day's last event (1600 relay) to defeat Pottsville and finish undefeated to claim the Division 1 championship.Both Marian squads knocked off Mahanoy Area and Nativity to clinch Division 2 crowns.Pottsville-Jim ThorpeJim Thorpe managed a sweep in its dual meet with Pottsville, as the Olympian boys edged out the Tide, 77-73, while the Lady Olympians dropped a 98-52 decision.Individually for the locals, Rayan Green proved to be the story, as he took first in all four of his events - 110 hurdles, 300 hurdles, triple jump, and high jump.Dylan Bucior dominated the 800- and 1600-meter runs, while Autumn Cope took first in the girls' javelin and triple jump.BOYSJim Thorpe 77, Pottsville 73100 - 1.
