Two people were arrested following a vehicle chase in Monroe County.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said about 1:08 a.m. on Feb. 7 officers attempted to stop a Honda Accord along SR611 for a vehicle code violation.The driver failed to pull over and fled north on 611 through Mount Pocono and onto SR196. The driver continued to travel north on 196 before crashing into a snow bank at the intersection with Pine Hill Road.The driver and a passenger then exited the vehicle and ran off.The driver, identified as Kerey Cousar, 28, of Mount Pocono, was apprehended a short time later. The passenger, identified as Jeffrey Lovius, 25, of Flanders, N.J., was located a short time later hiding in nearby woods.The two were video arraigned at the county prison in Snydersville. Charges included driving under the influence, fleeing and eluding police, resisting arrest, escape, and public drunkenness.It was also learned that Cousar had a bench warrant for his arrest issued by the county sheriff's department.
