N'western, Palmerton, Tamaqua post sweeps

Northwestern, Palmerton and Tamaqua track and field teams posted sweeps in their respective meets.

Wilson, Northwestern, Saucon ValleyNorthwestern Lehigh swept both of their opponents and both the boys and girls events. The Tigers defeated Wilson 108.50-41.50; and defeated Saucon Valley 118-32 on the boys side.The girls were victorious against Wilson, 91.99-58. The Lady Tigers also defeated Saucon Valley by an impressive score of 129.75-20.25.Cam Richardson was victorious in both the 100 and 200 events. Joe Espinol won both the 800 and 1600 events. Steve Schoeniger was victorious in the triple jump and long jump events. Alex Partington was also a multievent winner, as he claimed victory in the shot put and discus events.The Lady Tigers had a few multievent winners as well. The Blue Raiders took the top two spots in all jumping and throwing competitions, outscoring Minersville 51-5 in those events. Malik Roper picked up two individual wins, claiming the 100 and 200, respectively.On the girls' side, Tamaqua won all events on the track and all but two in the field.
