Olympians, Fillies, Indians get softball wins

The Jim Thorpe softball team has solidified its first two-win season since 2010, and have now won back-to-back games for the first time since 2004, with a 4-0 victory over Weatherly on Thursday.

The Marian softball team also came up with a big Division III victory, defeating rival Nativity, 3-1.In local baseball action, Lehighton, Marian, and Tamaqua all picked up victories as well.SOFTBALLJim Thorpe-WeatherlyJim Thorpe defeated Weatherly in a Schulkill League contest, 4-0.Talia Valentini was two for four in the contest for the Lady Olympians.
