A one-vehicle crash that occurred on Saturday evening in Monroe County resulted in a charge of driving under the influence pending against the driver.

State police at Fern Ridge said Frank Summers, 66, of Albrightsville, was driving a Dodge Dakota truck northbound on Merwinsburg Road near Burger Hollow Road, in Chestnuthill Township, about 7:45 p.m. when he lost control. The truck traveled onto the northbound shoulder with the right front striking a concrete bridge.After impact the truck continued north, eventually coming to final rest off the road.Summers was found to be under the influence of alcohol and was placed under arrest, troopers said.
