Advanced Green Solutions will hold an electronic and universal waste recycling event at the Palmerton Borough Garage, 402 3rd St., Palmerton. The event will take place from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12.

Residents and small businesses are welcome to take their old, used electronic and universal waste to the borough garage. They will offer a no charge drop off service at the site location for most electronics.Items accepted include: Freon appliances (a fee of $15 per unit); regular televisions, $20; plastic/metal scrap; floor copiers; washers and dryers; dishwashers; stoves and refrigerators; air conditioners; floor freezers; CRT monitors; misc. electronics; hard drives; telephones/ cell phones; dehumidifiers; keyboards and mice; non PCB ballast; cables and cords; stereos and speakers; LCD monitors; word processors; printers and fax machines; desktop/laptop computers; DVD players, VCRs and game systems; and console/projection TVs, $30.Hard drive destruction certificates are available upon request for a small fee.For more information, contact the Palmerton Borough office at (610) 826-2505, or Advanced Green Solutions Inc. at (610) 767-6577.
