Carbon County Commissioners commended a number of county employees for their service.

Commissioner Thomas Gerhard thanked Kenneth Leffler, the former director of elections and consultant for elections, after the board accepted his letter asking his contract as a consultant be terminated, effective Nov. 15.He also highlighted a letter received about Tom Connors, the dog warden at the Carbon County Animal Shelter.The letter commended Connors and the volunteers on a wonderful job at the shelter.
