Tamaqua music department holds Spring Choral Concert

Over 160 Tamaqua Middle School and High School students performed for a filled audience during the Tamaqua Area Music Department's annual Spring Choral Concert held Thursday evening in the school district auditorium.

Providing their vocal talents were the Middle School General Chorus, 7th & 8th Grade Select Chorus, The Jazz & Concert Chorale and The Tamaqua Area High School Concert Choir.The Middle School General Chorus sang numerous songs ranging from "Let There Be Song" and "Don't Stop Believing." The Middle School 7th & 8th Grade Select Chorus sang such songs as "Solfege Song", "Over The Rainbow" and "True Colors."Performing toe tapping songs like "Keep Holding On" and "Take Five" were the school district's Jazz and Concert Chorale. Ending with popular favorites, like "Go Ye All Into The World", "Deep River" and "The Phantom of the Opera" were the Concert Choir with the finale of "Lean on Me."Sign language was also used during one of the songs.Special instrument accompanists were Molly Betz, Patrick McMullen and Shane Mulligan, Olivia Behr, Antonetta Gerace, Cailyn Joseph, Sierra Petrucci and Faith Roberts.Special thanks was given to the Tamaqua Board of Education, administration, faculty, staff, students, parents, friends and relatives for their support of the music department throughout the school year.
