A Bethlehem man is facing charges following an incident in Jim Thorpe.

Borough police said Frank Edgar Borges-Quijano, 19, of 1655 Valley Center Parkway, has been charged with simple assault, a misdemeanor two, and a summary count of harassment.According to police the incident occurred on Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, about 6:58 p.m. in Memorial Park. Police allege that Quijano assaulted a 15-year-old borough male in the park.Quijano confronted the male and demanded he fight.The victim told the suspect he would not fight, at which point Quijano allegedly struck the boy in the back of the head.He then punched the boy in the mouth causing him to fall and strike his head on the pavement.The boy was helped home by a friend and later taken to a hospital. The boy suffered a concussion and sustained a cut to the inside of his mouth that required a stitch, police said.
