Not even winter storm Nemo could stop the annual Schuylkill County History Faire, held Saturday at Fairlane Village Mall near Pottsville. Here Bill Harleman, president, Lansford Historical Society, puts finishing touches on an exhibit focused on the No. 9 Mine, Old Company's Lehigh, the musical Dorseys and various items of the mining industry . Also taking part locally was the Tamaqua Historical Society. Dale Freudenberger, president, created a display highlighting aspects of local history and culture, including trolley cars of the Tamaqua and Lansford Street Railway, early entertainment at Lakeside Park, various pieces of railroad memorabilia, and a salute to Tamaqua High School football and music.
