Children were excited as they waited for Santa Claus at the annual children's Christmas party, sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary to the R.W. Fritzinger VFW Post 7215, Walnutport.

When he arrived he walked around the room greeting children and wishing them Merry Christmas before he took his seat next to the Christmas tree.Auxiliary members Karen Bandzi, Mick Minnich, Gail Strohl, Sue Bortz and Sandy Hopkins went shopping, buying three presents for each child. The same group wrapped the gifts. Santa brought a bag filled with candy canes and gave each child one in addition to the auxiliary gifts.
