Daniel Kelly, 45, of Scotrun, was committed to the Monroe County Correctional Facility, Snydersville, after he was arrested for his role in an incident at the Wal-Mart in Mount Pocono at 8:26 p.m. Aug. 25.

Pocono Mountain Regional Police said they were summoned there after management reported a customer allegedly struck a sales associate with a leather men's belt.Police said the investigation resulted in them learning Kelly was the assailant and was under the influence of a controlled substance at the time.He was arrested for public drunkenness and harassment. Following arraignment he was lodged in the county prison.
