SafetySuit makes Penn's Peak debut

Two concert events are scheduled this weekend at Penn's Peak in Jim Thorpe.

Tonight, Live Wire performs an AC/DC tribute. Opening for Live Wire is Completely Unchained.The music gets underway at 8 p.m. and admission is $27.Sunday night, SafetySuit brings its pop/rock sound to the venue. This is SafetySuit's first appearance on the mountaintop stage. Opening will be Go Radio and Taylor Berrett.The event begins at 7:30 and tickets at the door are $20.Live Wire is reputed to offer the most complete and authentic reproduction of AC/DC's sound and stage performance in the world.The band's live show is an accurate duplication of the original band that AC/DC fans worldwide have come to love. Established in the year 2000 and hailing from the New York metro area, Live Wire has performed for audiences around the world including South and Central America, Canada, Europe and all across the United States.Based out of Nashville, SafetySuit is not new to the music scene, though their 2008 hit single "Stay" shot to number one on the voter generated VH1 Top 20 Countdown.Spotlighted by VH1 as a band "You Oughta Know," the group toured endlessly, playing over 200 shows and selling more than 500,000 singles along the way.They're raising the stakes with "These Times," (Universal Republic), a scintillating hookfest of arena-ready rock anthems, offering unequivocal proof that the group has the goods to break wide open.
