Rich Bachert, assistant fire chief of the Towamensing Volunteer Fire Co., had the happy job of taking visitors of the Jerusalem UCC Apple Fest for a ride in the company's 1951 Chevrolet fire truck. The fire company has owned the truck since it was brand new. Everyone enjoyed seeing the vintage truck.
