A driver was cited following a one-vehicle crash that occurred around 6:40 p.m. on Friday along Grier Avenue (Route 1017), in Rush Township, Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said Alyssa K. Alabovitz, 19, of Tamaqua, was driving a 2004 Honda Civic northbound when the vehicle left the road on the right side and impacted with a mailbox in the unit block of Grier Avenue, resulting in property damage.

Alabovitz and her passenger, Brandon D. Deitzel, 19, of Barnesville, were not wearing seat belts, troopers noted. Alabovitz sustained a minor injury but refused medical treatment.

Troopers cited her for the crash.
