Blue Mountain Health System will host its 27th annual Children's Health Fair from 9 a.m. to 2

p.m.Friday at the Lehighton Recreation Center, Eighth and Iron streets in Lehighton. This year's theme is "Super Heroes."Students in Carbon County, kindergarten through second grade, are scheduled to participate. Eighteen interactive activities are planned with topics including spiders and insects, proper dental hygiene, nutrition, exercise and fitness, germs, smoking and substance abuse prevention, and behavioral health issues.If you are not part of a school group but would like to attend with your home-schooled or preschool child, call WomanWise at 610-377-7070 to register for a specific time. Available times are 9-10:30 a.m.; 10:45 a.m.-12:20 p.m.; or 12:30-2 p.m. There is no charge to attend the fair.
