A burglary that resulted in extensive damages to a property is being investigated in Carbon County.

State police at Fern Ridge said a home at 174 Longfellow Drive, in Penn Forest Township, was forcibly entered and removed was a television set.The criminals also turned on water in the home and let it run. As a result the water line ruptured and caused a large accumulation of mold throughout the home due to water damage.The residence sustained severe damages, troopers said. The home is owned by Jared Michael Parks, of Wayne.The incident occurred sometime between March 20 and Wednesday, May 2.
