A Summit Hill man was charged after he stole checks from a residence.

According to Summit Hill police, in March, police received a report of stolen checks and forged signatures. An investigation revealed that from March 6 to 16, Jeremy Johnson, 28, of 127 W. Iron St., stole the checks and forged the signatures.He was charged with two counts forgery, theft and receiving stolen property.
