Jeanine Burdick weds Lance Edmonds

Jeanine Marie Burdick, daughter of Patricia Burdick of Lansford, became the bride of Lance Louis Edmonds, son of Archie and Janice Edmonds of Hometown, on Aug. 27, 2011 at the Primitive Methodist Church, Tamaqua. The Rev. Rodney Hall officiated the double ring ceremony. Carol Tempest was the vocalist and Sandy Clemson was the organist.

Given in marriage by her mother, the bride chose Janelle Peiser of Beaver Meadows as the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Vanessa Klein, Tamaqua; Amy Schmauch, Tamaqua, cousin of the bride; Andrea Edmonds, Andreas, sister-in-law of the bridegroom; Jacci Theobold, Hometown; Nancy Scheckler, Andreas; and Jeanine Hollywood, Summit Hill. The bride chose Jocelyn Clause as the flower girl.The bridegroom chose his brother Gregg Edmonds, Andreas, to serve as the best man. Ushers were Marc Lesniak, Tamaqua; Chris Seltzer, Palo Alto; Eric Christian, Fleetwood; Jason Bellitts, Weatherly; Carmen Forke, Andreas; and Aaron Burdick, Lansford, brother of the bride. Gavin Edmonds, nephew of the bridegroom, served as the ring bearer.Following the ceremony, the couple welcomed friends and family to a reception at Jim Thorpe Memorial Hall before leaving on a honeymoon trip to the Riviera Maya in Mexico.The bride was honored at a shower in June given by the mothers of the couple, matron of honor and bridesmaids at Capriotti's in Tresckow.The rehearsal dinner was hosted by the parents of the groom at La Dolce Casa in Tamaqua.The new Mrs. Edmonds is a graduate of Panther Valley High School. She is a certified nursing assistant and is employed by St. Luke's Miners Memorial Hospital in Coaldale.Mr. Edmonds is a graduate of Tamaqua Area High School and Penn State University, where he earned a bachelor of science degree in industrial engineering. He is employed at Rubbermaid Commercial Products in Pottsville.The newlyweds currently reside in Hometown.
