Tamaqua Fegley's Mini Mart gets new look, Dunkin' Donuts

Fegley's Mini Mart, a long time business in Tamaqua, has received a new look.

"The entire store was completely gutted prior to the internal and external renovations," said Kathy Nicholls, operations manager.Some of the major renovations and improvements included the replacement of two large underground fuel storage tanks, refacing the outside, new signage, landscaping, adding of barrier walls, relocation of service counter, and the addition of a Dunkin' Donuts and it's 24-hour drive-through. The renovations also consisted of new walls, ceiling and 13 wall coolers."During our recent grand opening of our new Dunkin' Donuts, customers received free door prizes and lottery tickets and also got a chance to try for over 40 prizes, such as a large screen television," said Michelle Wise, co-owner, Dunkin' Donuts franchisee, Summer Valley Partners, LLC, which operates 11 Dunkin' Donuts in eastern Pennsylvania. They include Hometown, Lehighton, Berwick, Mountain Top, Plymouth and West Pittston."Our Tamaqua Dunkin' Donuts, which employs 10 people, offers all of the great foods you would expect from a Dunkin' Donuts, such as coffee, doughnuts, sandwiches and more," said co-owners Jon and Michelle Wise.All the gas pumps were filled as Fegley's Mini Mart/Valero customers rushed to take advantage of the $2.99 promotion as part of the renovation celebration."With our new Rewards Cards, our customers can also receive up to a dollar off 10 or more gallons of gas, as well as free merchandise", said Nicholls. "In addition to competitive gas prices, we offer all the same food, services and merchandise we've had in the past."We (Fegley's Oil/Fegley's Mini Mart) will continue to be involved in the community and helping when we can," Nicholls added.Fegley's, founded by Edgar Fegley and owned by Donald Sr. and Donald Jr. Fegley, is a contributor to the American Red Cross and Tamaqua Salvation Army during fires and other disasters by routinely providing both hot and cold refreshment to emergency responders.In addition to their fuel company. Fegley's has other gas marts in McAdoo and South Tamaqua.Donald Jr. Fegley, who is also the current president, expressed his appreciation to all their customers, employees and contractors during the renovations."We will continue to serve Tamaqua and surrounding communities as best we can," he added.Both Fegley's Mini Mart/Valero and Dunkin' Donuts are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
