State police at the Frackville barracks are investigating an incident that happened in the overnight hours of Feb. 3-4 in New Castle Township.

The victim is the Reading Anthracite Company, Pottsville.Police said someone stole a battery cable from a Caterpillar front-end loader owned by the company. Two batteries and a brake line were also damaged on the loader.
