State police at Lehighton are investigating a burglary at a Carbon County home.

Troopers said the residence of Margerete Tindzak, 9175 Interchange Road, Lehighton, Towamensing Township, was entered through an unlocked mud room door located on the west side of the home. Once inside the criminals kicked in another door that let them inside the living room. While in the home the criminals went through every room opening draws. Removed was a knife set from the kitchen area.

The incident occurred sometime between midnight and 12:30 p.m. on Oct. 6. Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at (610) 377-4270.
