State police at Frackville are investigating a burglary at 357 Preston Ave., Girardville.

Police said someone entered the home by taking the hinges off a basement garage door sometime between 10 p.m. Sept. 1 and 6:30 a.m. Sept. 2. The burglar stole an orange and white 1990 Honda XR80 and fled.The previous day, someone had damaged the liner of the residents' pool by throwing an oil lamp, sneakers and garden lights into the pool.Anyone with information about either incident is asked to call police at (570) 874-5300.
