It isn't always all about the numbers.
At least not at Frey & Company CPA's in Walnutport, where the bottom line isn't just measured by dollars and cents.
For its dedicated service to the community, the company has been selected as Business of the Month by the Greater Northern Lehigh Chamber of Commerce.
Gary Frey, who founded the firm located at 121 N. Best Avenue a dozen years ago, said he's honored by the accolade, but gives much of the credit to his hard-working staff.
"We are a full-service accounting firm, and we stand out because we offer excellent customer service and a hands-on approach with our clients," said Frey, a Certified Public Accountant. "We really get to know them, what they need, and what we can do to help them."
Frey founded the firm - which began with just him and one full-time employee after he worked several years with a large regional accounting firm.
The firm is headed by Frey, and managed by Dan Nemura and Dennis Mensch. Tom Dellamonica and Kirk Nickerson also work as CPA's; Brian Richards, Karen Benyo and Cherise Hosak serve as accountants; Victoria Dougherty and Joan Walko are seasonal tax preparers; and Amanda Fischer (payroll), Dawn Mulcahy (payroll-billing), and Cheryl Kresge comprise the administrative staff.
Frey & Company serves clients throughout Carbon County, as well as the Lehigh Valley, and has recently opened a satellite office in Bethlehem to provide office hours by appointment to clients.
Along with accounting services, Frey & Company also offers Quick Books software, and training and consulting services, all of which are targeted for expansion.
Normal business hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, with evening and Saturday hours available from Jan. 1 to April 15.
